Debbie Gordon
Elementary Science/STEM dgordon@psusd.us Debbie Gordon is the Elementary STEM TOSA for Palm Springs Unified School District. She taught elementary grades for 18 years prior to this position and is passionate about facilitating the expansion of phenomenon-based, inquiry driven science and engineering in all classrooms. She is co-Project Director for PSUSD's CA NGSS K-8 Early Implementation Initiative. Additionally, she writes and facilitates sessions on lesson development, using phenomena, engineering, and assessments at the statewide CA NGSS rollouts and CSTA’s California Science Education Conferences. |
Philip Hudec
Secondary Science/STEM phudec@psusd.us Philip Hudec is the Secondary Science/STEM Curriculum Specialist for the Palm Springs Unified School District and co-Project Director for PSUSD's CA NGSS K-8 Early Implementation Initiative. In those roles, he creates and facilitates professional development trainings for teachers and administrators on science, technology, and engineering content and pedagogy. He specializes in inquiry-based science education and is passionate about providing equitable opportunities for all students to learn and thrive in our schools in PSUSD and across the state of California. He also teaches courses and facilitates sessions as a leader in science and engineering education at the statewide CA NGSS rollouts, Riverside County office of Education, and CSTA's California Science Education Conferences. |
